Dolce and Gabbana have been known to have millennials and influencers involved with their brand.
In pre-fall 2017 (Milan) they well and truly embraced the social media mix. The brand invited 49 influencers to walk the catwalk and show off the new collection. The group consisted of bloggers, sloggers, actors and instagrammers. Including; Jim Chapman, Cindy Crawford son Presley Gerber and Jude Laws son Rafferty Law.

Sofia Richie, Lucky Blue Smith and Chase Hill were also among them.
"These are the new generation, we liked the idea of adding ordinary people who have become famous thanks to the web" said Stefano Gabbana. The theme of this show was royalty, which saw family crests, crown emblems a d insignia emblazoned on military coats and velvet blazers.
Opening the show was internet sensation Cameron Dallas who has 17.4 million followers on instagram and 5.2 million on youtube. There was a lot of celebrity off-spring to walk to show.
This Millennial take over is very clever on behalf of Dolce and Gabbana to get publicity for the next generation of consumers. By having all these millennial influencers promoting the brand it is opening the brands consumer demographic to a new branch of younger people. It is said that this is a clear effort to better connect to a younger socially-driven market. The hashtag #DGMillenials spreader across instagram. Their typical consumer market most likely wouldn't even recognise these mew promoters.
