Dolce and Gabbana APP

Whilst doing my research online I came across a few different sources who said that there is a Dolce & Gabbana APP available for android and apple iPhones. However all of these posts were from 2011-2014 and as I searched on my phone for the app there was nothing there.


I think that after researching the website and social media channels that having an app would be a really good recommendation for Dolce and Gabbana. This day and age revolves around technology and with the impressive website turned into a mobile version for the customer to have all of the products at a click of a button would be a really good idea especially with the consumer changing from the older generation to younger gen Z/ Millennials. We can see that the company is making an effort to target this new generation from the #DGMILLENIALS so to expand this further an app would be a good idea. It would also be an easy way to stream new season catwalks and show new collections and perhaps even have an archive of previous collections. By having an app people would get notifications on their phone to keep them up to date.

Brand Positioning Maps - Current and Proposed

Current: This brand positioning Map is where I feel the brand currently sits in the market against competitors. This map compare the quality and the price of the brand. I think Dolce and Gabbana has a high quality and a high price. However it is slightly cheaper than Prada and Gucci.  Proposed:  This is where I think my proposed brand D&G will sit against competitors in the market. I think it will be in the same area as competitors such as Moschino and Versus. It will be of a high price and high quality however it will be a lower price point than original Dolce and Gabbana brand.

Layout Design Development

Here are some screen shots I took earlier on in my marketing report development. This useful to look back at and see the improvements I have made, I also think it is useful to keep them incase I didn't like how I had changed it and wanted to go back to how it was. I definitely think in the first spread threre it too much going on and it needs to be made much more simple, I also think that the text needs to be positioned into the middle of the page in the last one. I am happy with the changes I Made to these spreads and it definitely took a long time to figure out how I wanted my report to finally look.
