In a report about labour conditions and fair trade there was a lot of blank spaces and gaps about what rules there are in place.

1. Does the brand have a supplier Code of conduct which includes the following standards: No forced or slave labour, no child labour, no discrimination of any kind and a safe and hygienic workplace?
-Dolce and Gabbana published a 'code of ethics' with some general statements about supplier ethics and environment. However, this information is not sufficiently specific.

5. Does the brand have a published list of direct suppliers, that have collectively contributed to more than 90%of the purchased volume?
- Dolce and Gabbana does not communicate any information about being part of a collective and innovative or purchasing from an accredited supplier.

8. Is there a policy for the brand for capacity building at the apparel manufacturers for improved labour practices?
- Dolce & Gabbana does not provide concrete information on capacity of building measures as its supplying production facilities for improved labour conditions at its supplier.

9. Does the brand annually report one the results of its labor conditions policy? Is at least 90% of the brands production volume from apparel manufactures monitored for labour conditions.
- Dolce and Gabbana does not publicly report outcomes or results of its policies to improve labor conditions as its suppliers.

13. Does the brand annually report on the results of its labour conditions policy for the leather, yarn and fabric production phases, including a reasonable overview of the number and region of workplaces covered by the policy in relation to the total production volume?
-Dolce and Gabbana does not report on results of its labour conditions policy for the fabric manufacturing phases.

These were the only questions out of 14 which flagged up an unclear result. Please see link for the other 14 questions.

By being unclear about their labour conditions, child labour and fair-trade a lot of people might not want to buy from the brand. Although lots of the questions were answered most were answered by the code of ethics Dolce and Gabbana could be a lot more honest with there answers and especially if they aren't hiding anything you would think they would publish all of these details.
