The SS19 campaign is the first major campaign since the recent Shanghai controversy so the brand will be under watch and it is crucial they do well after the major damage in the key Chinese market in the recent months. It has an exuberant theme. Rather than just choosing one photographer they have chosen a variety including Luca & Alessandro Morelli, Branislav Simoncik, Angelo Pennetta, Giuseppe Toratore, Franco Pagetti, Alex Majoli and Bruce Gilden, with each photographer credited on the ad they shot under the brand name. It is clear to see that although the recent damaging controversy the links have been clicked on and the campaign seems to be very successful. You can see from my social media review how the brand is using their social media accounts to promote the new campaign and show shots from the different photographers. I think it is very clever to get more people involved and have different ideas for the new season, this way there must be something for everyone. There are many big names involved such as Helena Christensen, Ashley Graham, Eva Herzigova, Carla Bruni, Karen Elson, Chiara Scelsi and Monic Bellucci to portray the lively colour of Italian life and the D&G luxury style. As well as this they have some younger influencers such as Cameron Dallas involves, this was they are hitting more than just one kind of customer.
