Gucci Equilibriums objective is to strengthen Gucci's sustainability strategy. This makes Gucci a high sustainable responsible and highly desirable luxury fashion house. This collection by Gucci is showing consumers that the brand is listening to their wants and changing their approach to the fashion industry to meet these needs. This is setting a great example as one of the leading brands. Gucci has published their 10 year comprehensive sustainability strategy. Their three main focus points are: Environment, people and new models of sustainable innovation. Under the first pillar environment, Gucci highlights its commitment to reduce its environmental impacts by setting targets to develop a new standard in luxury. They have an aim to guarantee the traceability of 100 percent of its raw materials by 2025.
The second pillar is people and it is all about recognising the value of employees and working to enhance the lives of individuals who make its products by supporting local communities. They are doing this by fighting for gender equality and by using charities to support social enterprise in Mumbai to teach to skills and bring recurring income into their community. The third pillar "new models", consists of technical innovation to improve efficiency on its production and logistics.
By doing this Gucci is making the effort to protect the environments and improve on the ethics of the company. This will improve relationships with consumers as the brand has been listening to what consumers want and they will be impressed that they are on top of the fashion industry.
If other brands such as Dolce and Gabbana don't start to improve their sustainability and ethics then consumers will choose to buy from competitor brands such as Gucci Equilibrium.
